I've been doing yoga on and off for quite some time now, but its been just this year that I've really gotten into it and taken it more seriously. In the last couple of years I've really focused on my health and getting fit. I run three times a week and yoga fits in perfectly with that lifestyle. Not just for my body, but for my mind as well.

I also just recently found the perfect yoga teacher which makes me actually LOVE it, not just like it, like before. I go to classes with her twice a week, and also do a full practice at home one other day a week. I also do some sun salutes and a few other asanas every morning.

Hatha yoga is perfect for everyone, from beginners to advanced yogis. My recommendations if you're just starting out would be to go to lots of different classes at different yoga schools until you find one you love. Also, don't expect to fall in love with yoga after your first class, it takes a while to really appreciate it for what it is. Oh and get a good mat! I love my one from Lulu Lemon!
